Canazei is a beautiful ski resort (and medieval town) in the heart of the Dolomites where the Avisio and Antermont Rivers meet. It sits at the foot of a number of amazing mountain peaks in the Fassa Valley/Val di Fassa — perfect in summer or winter. This is a fabulous ski resort for both cross-country and downhill skiers and there is an enormous professional ski school for all levels and types of skiing (it’s world known and right in the center of town). When you’re not enjoying the winter sports or the summer treks/hikes (on the Marmolada) or shopping, do make sure you tour the town making a stop at the Chiesa di San Floriano (16^th century). This is a Gothic church with a Baroque interior. The bell tower/campanile (15^th century) is also lovely. Take in the ancient houses and architecture. Jump on a cable car and see unbelievably majestic and panoramic views.
