Sardegna: Nora
& Pula

Pula
is often associated or "lumped" together with Nora,
a town just 2 miles from town (Pula). The area is very beautiful
on the Golfo degli Angeli. Nora has archaeological
excavations from the Nuraghic, Phoenician and Punic ages.
The town was uncovered in the 1950s and youll readily
recognize that this was a thriving and prosperous town (especially
in the Roman/Punic ages). It was a port town and there was much
trading. Make sure you get to the Templi di Tanit/Tanit Temple
on the hill. In Pula youll want to go to the Giovanni
Patroni Archaeological Museum/Museo Archaeologica di Giovanni
Patroni where youll find treasures and artifacts from
the excavations at Nora.
