Sardegna: Nora & Pula

Pula is often associated or "lumped" together with Nora, a town just 2 miles from town (Pula). The area is very beautiful — on the Golfo degli Angeli. Nora has archaeological excavations — from the Nuraghic, Phoenician and Punic ages. The town was uncovered in the 1950s and you’ll readily recognize that this was a thriving and prosperous town (especially in the Roman/Punic ages). It was a port town and there was much trading. Make sure you get to the Templi di Tanit/Tanit Temple on the hill. In Pula you’ll want to go to the Giovanni Patroni Archaeological Museum/Museo Archaeologica di Giovanni Patroni where you’ll find treasures and artifacts from the excavations at Nora.
