Sardegna: Isola
Maddalena

The
Maddalena Archipelago is a grouping of 14 pristine islands
(a marine and nature preserve). Isola Maddalena
is the largest (8 square miles) island and the only one with inhabitants.
It is a must-do to take the "scenic drive" around the
island. The rugged, jagged coast, the views of the archipelago,
the lighthouse, the beaches just amazingly beautiful and
so worth the trip. A bridge joins Maddalena with Caprera
(another island) do take it so that you can visit the tomb
of Garibaldi as well as his home. Enjoy the private
beaches of the islands. There are many boat trips that you can
choose from. The main squares in town are the Piazza Umberto
I and Piazza Garibaldi.
